Pro-Tech Shock absorbers - 400 & 600 series

Pro-Tech 400 series are made from 45 m/m dia 6262 specification aluminium with adjustable spring seat platform for 1.9" I.D. or 2 ¼" I.D. springs and have a single adjustable knob which adjusts both bump and rebound valving simultaneously.

Pro-Tech 400 series have design features totally different from any other manufacturer.

bulletThe lower base and eye is designed to hold the threaded body on the outside giving more internal clearance and movement as well as extra strength
 
bulletNew internal sealing system is designed to eliminate high pressure bleeding so all movement of oil in bump and rebound is consistently controlled through the piston and base valve.
 
bulletExtra machining the lower eye mounts into the solid part of the base gives vital clearance and weight advantage as mounting bracket fouling is eliminated.
 
bulletThe top and bottom eyes are CNC machined with a spherical surface for looks and strength.
 
bulletThe control knob has only 13 click settings with a total movement of 300 degrees (less than one turn).
 
bulletPro-tech has eliminated the coil spring in the control, which most manufacturers still use; coil springs in constant use do not maintain height and will take a set and create inconsistent damping.
 
bulletPro-tech high performance disc spring system (bellville washers), infinitely variable spring characteristics can be achieved by the arrangement of disc springs into stacked column and by adjusting the control knob to change the force/deflection maintaining constant damping.
 
bulletAfter assembly the unit is tested with the very latest computer controlled damping dynamometer to establish damper conditions and calibrations. All units are set with an adjustment range to suit 95% of most applications. However in the event of needing a lower range of damping or a higher range of damping this can easily be achieved on or off the car.

Pro-Tech 600 series - Double adjustable for the serious competitor

Pro-Tech Shocks 600 series are made from 52 M/M diameter 6262 specification aluminium with adjustable spring seat platform for 2 ¼" I.D. springs. The 600 Series has independent bump and rebound adjustment, this allows valving changes to be made at all shaft velocities without effecting the other valving adjustments. These shocks will give you the advantage over the competition at which a tyre is loaded or unloaded during dynamic weight transfer.

Dynamic weight transfer is the transferring of weight from side to side during cornering, from rear to front during deceleration and from front to rear during acceleration. By changing the stiffness of the shock's independently on the racecar,  we are adjusting the loadings on the tyres at different points on the racetrack, if done correctly good handling will result in getting you to the chequered flag first!

Because of the limited stroke available with the double adjusters, these are not suitable for all applications.
